Captain Bob Doyle, Director of Operations
Captain Bob has a tremendous amount of experience, having crossed and or navigated most of the seas in the world. He is also a very qualified Chief Engineer. He has significant experience on commercial vessels as well as private yachts, both power and sail. His office and staff 's primary function is to assure safe, enjoyable and hassel free ownership. Bob and his yacht crews look forward to welcoming all owners and guests to their home on the water.

Being "good" is not good enough
Much like an airline operation, In addition to having experienced captains and crews, Quartershare has a Director of Operations also known as our "Chief Captain", who establishes proceedures, scheduling, training, systems monitoring, yacht maintenance and new yacht acquisitions. In otherwords, everything having to do with our fleet of managed yachts.
Every vessel in the Quartershare fleet, much like managed commercial aircraft, are maintained to a very high standard both on a calendar and predictive maintenance schedule. These standards far exceed US Coast Guard regulation as well as manufacturer specification. Our crews and client services staff also under the umbrella of our operations department, are responsible for the safety and integrity of each trip, as well as the life on board experience. Additional professionals are responsible for yacht detailing, cleaning, and routine maintenance, ensuring that all of our vessels are always in “show room new” condition.
We take great pride in the presentation of Quartershare vessels, and ensure that each vessel is maintained in like-new condition. After each trip, all linens are freshly sanitized, all dishes and eating utensils are sterilized, every drawer is opened, every faucet is turned and every surface of your vessel is thoroughly cleaned until it sparkles. Exterior detailing is performed regularly, ensuring that your vessel looks brand new upon each boarding.
Quartershare vessels, engines and many on board systems are monitored while underway by our operations professionals. Again, much like an airline, our captains must obtain a release from Operations each time a yacht leaves port, ensuring that a long list of safety items, on boad systems and weather conditions have been checked and verified prior to release. Guests receive a safety briefing that includes a description of the route of the cruise and an overview of emergency procedures at the onset of each trip.
Quartershare International as our fleet expands, will soon have additional operations and concierge offices throughout the most popular cruising destinations in the world. These additional locations will provide a diversity for our owners and charter clients and limit the amount of boats managed by any one service team providing for a personalized very enjoyable experience no matter what corner of the world you cruise.
